Reliable Remedial Works
Plumbing
As many water systems were installed before the most up-to-date regulations were in place, remedial works may be required. Although this doesn’t mean that your plumbing systems are unsafe, there may be an increased likelihood of Legionella being present.
What causes Legionella in water?
Legionnaires disease is a potentially fatal type of pneumonia, that can be contracted by inhaling airborne water droplets containing Legionella bacteria. These airborne water droplets can be created by hot and cold-water outlets, atomisers, wet air conditioning plants and whirlpool or hydrotherapy baths.

Bathrooms
As well as plumbing remedial work, we can undertake bathroom remedial work. As well as updating your plumbing systems to keep you safe from Legionella, there are two main reasons why you may require bathroom remedial work. Here’s why…
Mould
Bathrooms harbour humidity and water, so it’s no surprise that mould causes an issue for many homeowners. Mould may be present around your tiles and grouting, around an extraction fan and your taps and other fixtures. While treating mould with chemical products and bleach may work in the short term, it may be worthwhile looking at updating your insulation and ventilation for maximum long-term protection.
Leaks
Bathroom remedial works may also be necessary because your fixtures and fittings have started leaking. Not only are leaking taps a nuisance, but they contribute to mould and can significantly increase your water bills. Research shows that homes waste almost 10,000 gallons of water because of leaks. We can tackle your leaky taps, valves and toilets for complete protection against leaks.
You can save around 10% on your water bill just by fixing the simplest leaks. Additionally, we undertake general repair work such as cracked tiles, replacement bathroom suites and more. Get in touch with us for a FREE quote!
Paving
If your block paving has sunken or is beginning to shift, then our paving remedial work could be the solution for you. Fortunately, as paving is made from individual blocks or slabs, it can be repaired and replaced easily and cheaply. Here’s how we complete remedial works on paving…
1. Identifying the problem
We will work to identify the problem with your paving, whether it has started to sink, shift, or deteriorate. Other paving issues can include void bedding, spalling and butt jointing, shaling and delamination and more.
2. Removing and lifting blocks
Remedial work will require any damaged or problem sections of the paving to be lifted and removed. Our team are highly skilled at removing paving blocks, so they’ll be able to avoid damage to any sections of paving that are remaining.
3. Bed preparation
Before new paving can be laid, the bed will need to be prepared. The existing bed will need to be scraped out and replaced with fresh laying material such as coarse grit sand. Bed preparation is essential to laying new paving and must be level.
4. Laying new paving
New paving will have been cut and readied for laying and, using fresh sand, will be set into the relevant spaces. These will then be levelled using a float or trowel to create a smooth and even finish.
Driveways
Driveways are known to crack, split, peel and lift over time. Therefore, driveway remedial work is necessary to ensure that it is functioning as it should. There are many benefits of conducting remedial work on your driveway, here are just some of them…
Accessibility
Ensuring that your driveway can be easily accessed with no lifting, cracking or holes is a great benefit. Knowing that you can simply pull onto your driveway and easily access your house will give you complete peace of mind.
Health and Safety
Remedial work can take care of anything that could cause harm to you or could damage your vehicle(s). Holes, sunken driveway sections and cracks are easy to trip over and can cause scratches to your car and deflated tyres.
Adds value to your property
A beautiful and fully functioning driveway can add value to your property. Whether you’re planning on selling soon or are making an investment for your future, remedial works are a sound investment to make.
